Day-by-Day Itinerary
1LEH ACCLIMATIZATION / ORIENTATION
Reach Leh by morning flight & get transferred to hotel. After freshens up take rest for acclimatization to the high altitude. Later in the afternoon explore Leh market & return to hotel at night for dinner & overnight stay.
2LEH SIGHTSEEING
Post breakfast visit Magnetic Hill, Meeting point of Zanskar River & Indus River, and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Visit Spituk Gompa and the Hall of Fame during your return to Leh town. Have dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
3LEH – NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDONG LA PASS/125 KM
Post breakfast drives to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, The Highest Motorable road in the World. On the way to Nubra Valley visit Deskit & Hunder Villages and have a Double Hump camel Safari in the Cold Desert (On your Own). Have an overnight stay in a camp at Nubra Valley.
4NUBRA – PANGONG LAKE / 4080 M
Post breakfast, proceed towards Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake is situated at an altitude of 14,500 feet. In the late afternoon reach Pangong, it is the highest saltwater Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Witness the changing colors of the Lake at high altitudes. Have dinner & overnight stay at the camp in Pangong.
5PANGONG – KARU – UPSHI – CHUMATHANG – MAHE – NYOMA – HANLE
After an early breakfast drive to Hanle. Hanle in changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautifull calm and soul loosing places in India. Hanle has a lovely hanle monastery offering some great aerial views of whole village that is a home of about 1000 people. Hanle is also house an Indian astronomical observatory which is the world highest observatory in the world at a staggering height of 4500 meters. Overnight in local Homestay.
6HANLE – UMLINGLA - HANLE
Post breakfast, check out from the camp / guest house & start your journey towards Umlingla , Umling La or Umlung La is the highest paved road and mountain pass in the world, located in Ladakh, India, on the ridgeline between Koyul Lungpa and the Indus River near Demchok. After all day excursions return back to Hanle for Dinner & overnight stay.
7HANLE - TSOMORIRI
After breakfast drive to Tsomoriri Lake. It is a breathtaking journey on a trail that is literally a ‘no mans’ land. Vast lonely stretches on the Chanthang plateau makes this drive one of the best isolated drives of this tour. Tsomoriri is situated at an altitude of 4511 m above sea level; with an area of about 140 Sq.km. Spend your evening watching shadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri lake. Stay in tented cottages at Tso Moriri.
8TSOMORIRI – TSOKAR – TAGLANGLA – LEH
After breakfast retraces the route down to Puga Sumdo and then follow the road across the Polokongka Pass (4920 meters) to reach the famous salt lake i.e. Tsokar situated near Rupso in Leh district. After sightseeing return to Leh via Taglang-La pass.
9LEH AIRPORT DROP
Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel & you’ll be dropped at Leh Airport for further journey.
