Overview
The Triund Trek is a scenic Himalayan trail in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, beginning from McLeod Ganj via Gallu and ending at Triund Top. Spanning about 18 km round trip, it usually takes three days to complete and is considered moderately difficult, making it suitable even for beginners with basic fitness. At an altitude of 2,875 meters, the trek offers breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range and Kangra valley, with its best seasons being March to June and September to November. The route passes through enchanting oak and rhododendron forests, combining natural beauty with adventure, and has become a favorite among solo travelers and small groups seeking a rewarding mountain experience.
